Google Adwords has become a completely ridiculous system to deal with.  You might remember that I became the victim of the “Google Slap” last summer.

Well, Google gets so much search volume that I was compelled to give it another try.

This time I started a completely new account, new email, different credit card, different computer… even a different IP to set up the account because I wanted to be able to start from scratch with Google.

I followed their guidelines EXACTLY and got a 7/10 quality score for ALL my ads. Here’s what happened:

On Monday I posted a video about why Facebook advertising sucks, so I thought that I better post an update to that video.

I still think their inconsistency and their interface sucks… but it bothered me that they wouldn’t accept my ads, so I kept messing with it until I finally got one accepted yesterday.

Now I have a whole new set of complaints…

The way that I finally got accepted was to create an advertisement that linked to one of my Facebook group pages.  My idea is to use Facebook to build a list.

I’ve heard lots of great things about advertising on Facebook, so I decided to give it a try last week.  After all, I’ve been doing PPC for a long time… could Facebook really be that much different?

Well… it’s actually worse.  It’s as bad as dealing with Google now.

In fairness, this was really my first time trying to run ads in Facebook, but I couldn’t help noticing that “big name” players like Amazon and Google didn’t seem to have any problem running all kinds of ads that seemed to violate Facebook’s terms.

There were also several other ads that I see running in the make money/mlm niche that are much worse than anything that I tried to post too.

Maybe it just depends on who actually gets assigned to manage your account over at Facebook… I don’t know, but this kind of inconsistency totally ticks me off!

It basically amounts to another way to get your message out there!

Today I took some time to create a new Hub for One Team Global… that’s one of the marketing groups that I’m working with in my new Nu Skin business.

What I really like about this particular marketing group is that they really have their act together.

One Team Global already has all the basic training for newly sponsored NuSkin reps in place… and that makes my job soooo much easier as I sponsor new people into the business.  I can spend 100% of my time working with my team on internet marketing and skip all the other stuff.

It’s awesome!

The reason that I bothered to create a hub is that it’s just another way to get my information out in the search engines and get more traffic and leads… simple as that!

I took a long three day weekend off — Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the end of last week.  We had a big weekend of Girl Scout Thinking Day, Boy Scout Pinewood Derby prep, church, etc.

Whew… sometimes I have to go back to work just to get a break sometimes!

Just kidding!  I am truly blessed to be able to take time off to do these kinds of special things with the kids.

Today I’ve been working on my Aweber autoresponders. To be more exact, I’ve been adding more great content to the backend of the autoresponder for my lead capture page at www.MLM-Genius.com.

The idea with this particular autoresponder series is to provide great information that gets people back to my website regularly and to build trust and credibility with the great content I provide.

The end game with this list is to sponsor people into either my Nu Skin or FDI business or to point them to great products where I’ll get an affiliate commission.

It’s a profit funnel that works really well!

I’m so excited!  It’s only been two days and I’ve already gotten my Nu Skin Business Builder package in the mail… I’ve been with a lot of companies and I’ve never gotten such a quick start with any company before.

Although I spent a lot of time on the phone today, I did manage to find enough time to start setting up my new blog for Nu Skin products.

Unlike a lot of other network marketing companies, Nu Skin actually puts it’s emphasis on getting people to buy products, not recruiting new distributors.  That means that I’ll have to work on my marketing in order to move product online… no problem!

That’s where my new blog comes in!

My blog is actually going to be a little bit different twist on the Nu Skin market than where most distributors go.  In fact, I plan to kill two birds with one stone.

As many of you know, I’ve been struggling with my weight for the last 15 years since I hurt my back and was put on some really hairy pain medicine that completely messed up my metabolism.

I know what you’re thinking… excuses, excuses.

But it’s actually true.  I went from 117 pounds to 172 pounds in about four months on this medication and my body has never been the same since.

Anyway, I decided to start a blog that documents my weight loss struggle, promotes some affiliate products, and highlights relevant products from Nu Skin… And hopefully shows some serious weight loss as well.

Cathartic and profitable… got to love that!

Anyway, I’ll write a post when the blog is ready for public consumption… and that was my day today!
