Facebook Advertising Sucks!
I’ve heard lots of great things about advertising on Facebook, so I decided to give it a try last week. After all, I’ve been doing PPC for a long time… could Facebook really be that much different?
Well… it’s actually worse. It’s as bad as dealing with Google now.
Check out my video below and you’ll see what I mean:
In fairness, this was really my first time trying to run ads in Facebook, but I couldn’t help noticing that “big name” players like Amazon and Google didn’t seem to have any problem running all kinds of ads that seemed to violate Facebook’s terms.
There were also several other ads that I see running in the make money/mlm niche that are much worse than anything that I tried to post too.
Maybe it just depends on who actually gets assigned to manage your account over at Facebook… I don’t know, but this kind of inconsistency totally ticks me off!

I’m starting to have the same problem. An ad they had approved has been disapproved when I only changed a tracking url.
They say they don’t like the landing page (asking for make, model, and year of car, plus zip code for an auto insurance quote) though they allowed the ad to run for weeks and on the same day the disapproved this ad they approved another ad with different targeting but with the exact same ad text going to the exact same landing page.
When I inquired about it, I got a short sentence about the landing page, but didn’t address my questions about why the ad was approved but now not when I only changed a tracking url. They’ll need to explain themselves better than that if they want my business.
